Circular Reasoning
Closely related to Begging the Question is Circulus in Probondo (circular reasoning). This faulty logic occurs when the premise of an argument is recycled or re-worded in the argument's conclusion.Â
Basically, the point in contention is used to "prove" itself. Note these interesting examples below.

Idiocracy (2006)
Attorney General: Brawndo's got what plants crave.Â
Secretary of Energy: Yeah, it's got electrolytes.Â
Joe: What are electrolytes? Do you even know?Â
Secretary of State: It's what they use to make Brawndo.Â
Joe: Yeah, but why do they use them to make Brawndo?Â
Secretary of Defense: 'Cause Brawndo's got electrolytes.
Example:Â
Employer: Wow, your résumé looks great! I do need another reference, though.
Applicant: My friend Hector will have good things to say about me, so I'll call him. He'll tell you.
Applicant: Â How do I know that Hector is trustworthy?
Applicant: Oh, I can vouch for him.
